Being a Junior Dev is hard. You often feel overwhelmed and are faced with an array of issues ranging from impostor’s syndrome, isolation, and just a general feeling that you don’t have what it takes to get the job done.
I had a particularly hard time when I was a junior developer, and now that I have been on the field for some time, and gained some seniority. I would like to help anyone who is starting out.
I decided to launch two initiatives. But before we get to that. There’s a talk, I recommend every Junior developer to watch after their first few months.
Dev weekly is geared towards developers who are just starting out. It features articles written by developers who are new to the field, as well as helpful tips and tricks of the trade. This is something I’m trying out for the first time, and with any luck will prove to be helpful.
Can’t stress the importance of community, so if your a Junior dev and are stuck on an issue or just have a question you won’t dare ask within your company. Join the community, it’s a safe place.
